Groups update –
Walking Group – Going good so far 4 walks this new year, weather has been pleasant so far
Out & Abouters- last time group went to Prestwick, due to go out next week.
Ukelele – performed well at the Christmas social day, thanks to the group, also being as to go locally to perform
Knit and natter – well attended thinking about taking the group to the Gatherings for a week later in the year.
Sewing Group – proposing to make a commemorative banner for our 10 Anniversary.
Art Group – busy group on Friday mornings
Chair Yoga – numbers pre-Christmas, were well attended, this group needs to keep viable numbers to allow it to continue, need to advertise more.
Theatre Group – few outings been accomplished with a few more in the pipeline. Members must remember that these tickets need to be paid when booked.
Glasgow Panto – was a good day, next one will be Aladdin 2026
Christmas Social 25 – was well attended and enjoyed, thanks to all who donated raffles. The amount raised was £255, it was agreed to make up to £300 to be donated to 3 charities. An email will be circulated with named charities for members to choose 3 only.
Calendars - to date £392 has been raised, still some monies to be collected. Calendars were well received, and Senga had received some emails form far and wide complimenting the photography. Camera club have started thinking about 2027 edition.
Craft Fair – there will be a Craft Fair in the Carrick Centre on Saturday 28th March 2026. A Further date has been booked for November.
Dumfries House – possibly this will be arranged for late April or May. There is a 60 min
a 90 min tour. This would be a car share outing. Email will follow with details later.
May outing – suggestions were asked for to date these are Edinburgh, Arran, Moffat,
Rothesay, any other please let me know and once again Email will be sent to let members decide, and costings will be done.
10th Anniversary – MOF’s will be celebrating this coming year – members were asked as to they would like to celebrate – a lunch; party evening; was suggested. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know as soon as possible.
Charity Shop – hope to have this possibly end April/ May
Next meeting will be early April
Business concluded tea and coffee were served.
