Minute of MOF’s General meeting held on Thursday 4 July 2024 at 1pm 

A small group attended the meeting and a number of apologies were given, we appreciate the fact it is also the first week of the school holidays.

Update of groups -

• Walking Group still going well, members are out to lunch this Friday at the Balgarth , with the short walking group members joining them
• Ukulele Group also progressing well with some members of the Prestwick group coming and joining in. The group are playing at the Bruce Festival on 13 July
• Camera - disappointing with the weather at the moment, not able to get out and about
• Out & Abouters - last one was to Prestwick, next one will be Friday 12 July, destination still to be decided.
• Knit & Natter more attendees on a Monday compared to Thursday but otherwise good attendance
• Sewing Group - group are enjoying this on a Monday afternoon, all enjoying their projects
• Theatre group - nothing lined up at the moment
• Short Walking Group - again a regular 5/6 attending this on a Wednesday morning
• Art Group - is well attended and enjoying their own projects
• Yoga - numbers a bit low at the moment, hopefully will pick up
• Chair Yoga - numbers are up and going strong.

To date we have 89 paid members of MOF's

Bruce 750 Festival being held at the Glebe on 13 July 2024 from 12 - 5pm,

there will be a Craft Marquee with Jackie has agree to oversee. The will be up to 26 stalls within the marquee, different crafts and other market stalls. A tombola stall will also be amongst the other stalls, and donations welcome along wit

September outing with be to Callendar/Stirling, coach has been booked but details are still to be finalised, will keep members updated. Names can be taken now.

Panto - Peter Pan, Glasgow -names are required, tickets have been booked for Tuesday 10m December 1pm performance.

Panto - Mother Goose, Ayr -arrangements still to be made for this panto.

War Horse - Glasgow, March 2025 - anyone still wishing to have their name added to this list please get in touch as soon as possible, ticket will around £50 -£55. most likely be a matinee performance

• A suggestion box will be place on the Information table at the Bruce Festival.
• Suggestion to hold a Social Event perhaps September/October time in the Church Hall.
• Look into what events are being held in the S.E.C.C.
• Discussed a cocktails evening - looking into costs and will need to see what interest there would be from members etc.
