Minute of MOF’s General meeting held on Thursday 5  September 2024 at 1pm

Update on Groups –

• Yoga/Chair Yoga will finish Tuesday 10 September until further notice. Tutor Karen is having to have surgery to her knee, and depending on her recovery time, the classes have been suspended.
• St Oswald’s Church Hall will be closed from 16 – 20 September for remedial work on the roof, Classes held that week will be rescheduled into the Church,
• Ukelele- first Wednesday of each month are having ½ hour tuition before the class (this will be paid by members taking coaching).

Update on Bruce 750 – Craft Fair Tombola and Sand Art raised £552.20, a great day, thanks to the Ukulele Group who performed, also thanks to those who helped in anyway. Thanks, have also been received from NCCBC for hosting the Craft Fair.

Outing to Stirling/Callander – Thursday 26 September 2024 – Please be at Greenside pick up point for 9.15 am.  Those wishing just to go to Stirling will be dropped off and coach will continue to Callander.  High Tea will be at the Ayrshire Food Hub.  A raffle will be held during the trip.  There are still on or two seats, if interested please get in touch ASAP.

Craft Fair – to be held on Saturday 26 October 2024 in the Carrick Centre 10am -2pm.  We would welcome donations for a Tombola Stall, also if anyone has a couple of hours to spare and would like to help on the day.  The Art Group have designed Christmas Cards and hopefully they will be on sale at the Craft Fair.

 Panto – Peter Pan, Kings Theatre, Glasgow – Tuesday 10 December 2024 at 1pm, tickets are £32, one or two seats at present. I would be obliged if these could be before 30 September, please.

Panto – Gaiety, Ayr – still to arranged, if interested please let us know

War Horse, Glasgow – Concert Hall, Glasgow, March 2025, tickets have been reserved and require payment by beginning October 2024.

Christmas Social – members were asked if they wished a Christmas Social like last year, this to be arranged for early December.

Charity Shop 2025 – after discussion it was agreed to use the Gatherings for the Charity Shop in March 2025 (provisional date week 17 March)
